Shipping
Books, magazines, and eligible paper ephemera
are shipped via USPS Media Mail with priority mail as an added cost option. For media mail I charge a flat rate based upon an average weight of two pounds.  For lighter-weight items, I will substitute first class mail at no extra charge.  Priority mail cost is based upon .50 for the first lb and .50 for each added lb. For items weighing more than 2 lbs. I will use a USPS flat rate box when I can and refund any excess shipping charge.  I can't always tell if that is possible beforehand because the size and weight of the packaging I use depends upon the destination and whether you have purchased a single item or multiple.
Non-media items
are usually shipped via USPS Standard Parcel with Priority Mail as an added cost option. As above, I will use first class or flat rate packaging and refund any excess charges when possible.
For international buyers
shipping is ordinarily by USPS Priority Mail International.  When possible I will substitute International First Class mail and refund any excess postage paid.  If you prefer priority mail only, even though it may cost you more, please include a note with your payment. The difference in delivery time for the two methods depends upon the country of destination but is usually an extra 5-10 days via first
