    Description
This is the 1942 Street & Smith's Baseball Yearbook, featuring St. Louis Cardinals Howard Pollett on the cover.
This was the 2nd year for Street & Smith's Baseball Yearbook.
The 1942 Season saw the St. Louis Cardinals beat the New York Yankees 4 games to 1 in the World Series. Mort Cooper (StL) won the MVP for the NL, leading the league with 22 Wins and a 1.78 ERA. Ernie Lombardi led the NL in Batting, Mel Ott was the NL Home Run champ, while Johnny Mize led in RBI. Ted Williams won the AL Triple Crown that year, along with the MVP.
The condition of this yearbook is VG
. The front cover has nice color, with a clear picture, showing light wear. The back cover looks nice with some wear at the edges. The spine is split 1" at the bottom, 1/2" at the top, and missing 1/2" of the paper at the center. The insides are clean. Please check the scans. This yearbook is very presentable.
Don't miss out this opportunity to get a nice slice of baseball history.
    Payment
I would appreciate payment within 3 days of the auction ending, but if you need to delay beyond that, please let me know.
    Shipping
Shipping and handling is .00 I will combine shipping. If you win multiple items, please wait for me to send a revised invoice showing the combined shipping.
Why I don't offer "free" shipping.
We all know that there is no such thing as "free" shipping. The post office charges for every item they deliver. So the only way to offer "free" shipping is to build the shipping charge into the price of the item. However, often times people purchase multiple lots. By not building in the shipping charge into the price of each item, I am able to combine shipping charges, thereby saving you money. My shipping charges are very reasonable. With my safe and secure packaging, I often charge less than I spend on postage and packaging. I sincerely believe that by offering a low shipping charge along with combined shipping for multiple lots I am able to save you money in the long-run.
    About Us
I am a collector just like you. I get frustrated with over-grading and people trying to profit from excessive shipping fees. I believe I am a conservative grader (especially given some of the cards I have received). I provide high quality scans to give you the best view possible. I will disclose any defects to the best of my ability. However, if I happen to miss something, simply return the item within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked.
God Bless our troops fighting overseas !!
